Claire is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists board and she is a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society. She trained at the University of South Africa and has worked in a variety of contexts within South Africa and New Zealand. She currently works as Clinical Psychologist for Counties Manukau District Health Board and in private practice.

Claire adopts a creative, compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy and has been trained to use a variety of therapeutic modalities, namely, systemic family therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative and cognitive behavioural therapies.

Claire currently works with adolescents and adults and her areas of interest are:

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Psychological trauma

  • Transgender and Gender diversity

  • Parenting difficulties and skills

  • Interpersonal and relational difficulties

  • Grief and complicated bereavement reactions

  • Adjustment difficulties

  • Personal growth

Fees

Claire's fees vary depending on the services provided. A standard session of 50 minutes for an individual is $175 (cash, eftpos or bank transfer to be paid on the day of your appointment). Any fees not paid at the time of consultation will incur a 15% invoicing charge. 
For credit card payments a $5 handling fee will be added. 
You may qualify for up to six free sessions if you are registered with your GP under the Wellness Support programme - please speak to your GP.
